Terrarium Crafting: Create Your Own Victorian-Inspired Cloche
Step into the fascinating history of growing under glass! Popularized in the 19th century by Victorian plant enthusiasts, terrariums have made a stylish comeback in recent decades. In this hands-on class, you’ll craft a stunning micro-environment inside a contemporary glass cloche. Using moisture-loving plants like ferns, moss, and selaginella, you’ll learn how to create and care for a mostly self-sufficient miniature garden. With proper care, your cloche will thrive as a beautiful and low-maintenance display piece.
What’s included: We provide the cloche, plants, soil, and all necessary materials—you just bring your favorite garden gloves!
Emerging Spring Bulbs & DIY Bark Planter
Celebrate the arrival of spring with blooming bulbs and bursts of color! In this class, you’ll craft a beautiful seasonal planter by adorning the exterior with bark for a natural, rustic look. Once the planter is complete, we’ll fill it with perennial favorites like daffodils, hyacinths, grape hyacinths, crocus, pansies, and violas. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a charming spring planter to brighten your space—perfect to enjoy until it’s time for summer blooms!
What’s included: We’ll provide the planter, bulbs, plant materials, and all the essentials. Just bring garden gloves and pruners for this fun and creative Sunday gathering.

Let your creativity take flight in this mosaic-making class, where you’ll design and assemble a beautiful bird-shaped mosaic. Using a variety of colorful tiles, glass, and stones, you’ll create a unique piece of art that captures the beauty and elegance of nature. Whether you’re an experienced crafter or a beginner, this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to express yourself through art and create a lasting piece to adorn your home.
What’s included: All materials, including tiles, glass, stones, and a bird-shaped base, will be provided. Bring your creativity and enthusiasm to this fun, hands-on crafting experience.

Welcome garden season with a lush and stylish shade planter! In this hands-on class, we’ll explore how to combine perennials, houseplants, and annuals to create a stunning planter tailored for shady spots. Using bold foliage, delicate textures, and blooming varieties, you’ll craft a unique design to enjoy all summer long.
What’s included: We’ll provide soil, amendments, and a beautiful selection of plants. Just bring your garden gloves, pruners, and a planter (8–10 inches) to bring your creation to life.

Porch Party Prep
Ready to host a picture-perfect porch party with ease? In this class, we’ll share tips and tricks for creating a carefree, curated porch party. Learn how to plan ahead so you can enjoy every moment with your guests, while making sure everything looks beautiful and unique—not your standard affair. From setting a welcoming atmosphere to adding thoughtful touches to your table and decor, you’ll leave with fresh ideas for hosting without the hassle.
What’s included: We’ll provide inspiration and practical tips for effortlessly preparing your porch for a memorable event, and a few goodies to take home. You’ll walk away ready to entertain with confidence and style!
Pressed Flower Collage
Unleash your creativity in this whimsical workshop, where you’ll design a miniature collage using pressed flower petals and leaves, all beautifully displayed in a floating frame. We’ll also demonstrate simple flower-pressing techniques, so you can preserve the beauty of summer blooms at home.
What’s included: Everything you need—frame, ribbon, paper, glue, scissors, and pressed flowers—will be provided. Just bring your imagination.
Velvet Hoop Floral Wreath
Create a contemporary and elegant hoop-style wreath in this hands-on class! We’ll begin by wrapping a hoop with narrow velvet ribbon for a soft, luxurious base. Next, we’ll add additional ribbon to the center of the hoop, where we’ll attach fresh floral elements for a stunning finish. As the flowers dry in place, your wreath will continue to evolve, making it a lasting piece to display indoors or in a protected outdoor spot.
What’s included: The hoop, ribbon, and fresh flowers will be provided. Just bring your garden snips and gloves for this delightful afternoon of crafting!

Fall Planter
As the crisp days of fall approach (even if the weather hasn’t caught up yet!), prepare to welcome the season with a stunning mixed planter. In this workshop, we’ll combine fall favorites like ornamental grasses, kales, cabbages, herbs, autumn blooms, and striking architectural branches and seedheads. This class holds special meaning—it was the first-ever workshop at MG Mercantile, and it was a hit with attendees, so we were encouraged to create more classes!
What’s included: We’ll provide soil, plants, and decorative elements. Please bring garden snips, gloves, and an 8–10 inch container of your choice to create your masterpiece.

Foraged Mushroom Wreath
Bring a touch of woodland magic into your home with a handcrafted foraged mushroom wreath! You’ll create a one-of-a-kind wreath adorned with foraged mushrooms, moss, lichen, and other natural elements, evoking the charm wonders of a forest floor. Whether you prefer a delicate, fairy-tale aesthetic or a bold, autumnal design, you’ll learn techniques to arrange and secure your foraged materials for a beautiful, long-lasting display.
What’s included: All materials will be included, but we encourage you to bring any little treasures you have collected from your own forest walks.

Papercraft Holiday Ornaments
Amid today’s fast-paced world, take a moment to slow down and embrace the joy of handmade traditions. In this workshop, we’ll use scissors, glue, and a variety of decorative papers to create timeless holiday ornaments. Choose from stars, angels, birds, paper cones, jumping jacks, reindeer, chains, and more—each piece perfect for decorating your home or tree this holiday season.
What’s included: All supplies will be provided, so just bring your creativity and warm clothing to enjoy an afternoon of nostalgic crafting outdoors.
Evergreen Winter Wreath
Back by popular demand—our beloved Winter Holiday Wreath Workshop! Using a moss-covered wire frame as the base, you’ll craft a gorgeous wreath from an array of fresh evergreen materials. To add a personalized touch, we’ll provide additional embellishments like seed pods, dried florals, cones, and ribbons. Your finished wreath will be a beautiful creation for your loved ones to admire throughout the winter season.
What’s included: All materials will be provided. Just bring your gardening gloves, snips, and warm clothing to stay cozy while we create outdoors.
